About

Dr. Nielsen earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine before moving to Chicago, where she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern Medical Center. Dr. Nielsen then moved further west to Denver, where she completed her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine. During her training, Dr. Nielsen actively participated in education and training of medical students and residents, frequently giving lectures about topics in high-risk obstetrics both locally and around the state of Colorado. She also completed several original research projects that have been presented at local and national conferences. Dr. Nielsen is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine. When not at work, Dr. Nielsen loves spending time with her family and her dog. She enjoys all forms of sport and exercise, being outdoors, listening to live music, and learning and developing new skills and interests like cooking or playing the banjo.
